The Statue by Maddie

One stormy night, a monk was sat on a bench outside the town. He was all alone that night wondering if he would actually find true love. All of a sudden, a cackle sound came behind him, he quickly jumped off the bench and looked behind and saw nothing. He was intrigued to know what it was, so he followed the sound into the heart of the woods. There he was all alone in the woods and could see nothing. An evil witch suddenly popped up behind him and turned him into stone. The statue has been there ever since.

Jake walked to his Nan's. She lived at the back of a large forest but every time Jake walked past this tree it felt very cold and he always thought he saw a dark hooded man. When he arrived at his Nan's, he asked her why it was so cold in the woods. She told him there was a story that there was an old man’s dog who had died next to a tree there. Only he was to visit his grave, so he sent a cloaked man over there to guard the grave. “But I don’t think it is true!” she said.

Hooded figure by Lexi

Legend says he wanders the streets at night searching for victims that he can turn to stone. Dare you look into his eyes; you too will turn to stone forever. That was the story, however I was told too late. As I patrolled down the street, I came across a handsome statue I had never seen before. Its face was shielded by a brown velvet cloth. Unlike the rest of the statue, I could pull it down. I looked into mysterious grey eyes. This was no statue ...this was the Demon of Sheffield! Petrified, I turned to run, but my legs wouldn’t move. No! I was turning to stone...

The Demon by Ella

Out in the wood the stone figure of a Demon still remains. Children tell tales when they hear the word Demon. One of the rumours had spread around the school in just one day. The rumour had it, he used to be a man who had stolen two sheep to feed his starving family, so the Lord of the land made him a Demon and turned him to stone. Many children are scared, and they should be as the curse was set for one thousand years, but no one knows when it was done and when it will undo and he will come back to life and seek his revenge....

The hooded figure - by Tegan

This morning I was walking through the forest and I saw this scary looking creature standing there in a black cloak with a hood over his head. As I walked over, it was staring at passers-by. I was a bit worried about what to do. Should I be afraid - should I not? I was starting to walk away when I realised he was staring at me as I walked away. I walked past it and it was still staring at me I didn't know what to do. Will I ever see it again I hope not?

A walk in the forest by Scarlett

Yesterday me and my best friend Millie were walking through Kielder Forest whilst on our camping holiday. Suddenly we saw a tall, black, glossy statue of a monk. We were both scared as we had read that this statue only appeared in December alone. If this wasn't bad enough, it is known to come alive on the 12th of December at 12pm and grab anything in sight. We began to shake with fear and didn't know what to do. Then as I looked at my watch we realised it was 11.59pm and the date was the 12th of December!

The stranger by Alexander

A walk through a forest. It was a great day. Perfect, as a matter of fact. I was walking in the forest, and saw a brown, medium size man. I approached him, and asked, "Are you okay...sir?" No response. I ask again, but louder, "Are you okay...sir, answer me please." The only words I could describe of him were, no face, no head, no arms? It was confusing. It could have been a statue perhaps. Until, it gently turned its head at me. "Sir, honestly, please answer me." It then walked towards me. I then got scared and screamed...at the top of my lungs. I ran and ran and ran and NEVER looked back. I dialled 999 and he was arrested. I never felt so good.

The Thief by Natasha

In the middle of a forest, near a holiday village just outside of Nottingham, was where a creepy thief could be found. He always dressed in black - not one thing he wore was a different colour.
Whilst all the holidaymakers were out enjoying their holidays, he was breaking into their villas and stealing their valuables. All the holidaymakers and staff were afraid of him as he was known to be violent. The police could never catch him, until one day they caught him in the middle of a robbery. He was sent to prison for a year. When he got out he was a totally different person and never stole again.

Grim Reaper by Grace B

Here we see a statue that is thought to be the Grim Reaper overlooking a graveyard. Some people are afraid and feel uncomfortable around him. But there is no need to be afraid as he is a friendly soul who comforts the souls he takes. It is believed that his statue remains there to over watch the graveyard and protect the souls. Sometimes late at night people claim to have seen the statue move, however there is no evidence and the sightings have only happened when only one person is present. Since the statue arrived there have been no crimes.

Bringer of Death Greets You by Clara

Hello.
My name is Death.
I did not choose my name, it came with the job. Are you screaming?
Lots of people do.
They like to argue that their time is not up, but they are just cluttering up the precious space Earth has. I am fair, if not polite or respectful. Hey, if you had an eternity of people whimpering, “I can’t die yet!” you would be annoyed. A simple thank-you would be very satisfying every now and then.
I must get back to the point, this is my way of saying, “I am not a bad person.”

Goodbye.

Robert the Robber by Maddie

Robert, a robber, always referred to himself as the greatest villain of all time even though he was only ten. His brother, who was called Robin, also wanted to be a robber with Robert, so they became a group to get back at their older brother Jamie [ who was 13].

A few weeks later, they decided it was time, everything was in place; ready to steal Jamie's Lego, which seemed weird but it hurt when it got thrown at them. When they got the Lego from Jamie's room, Robin asked Robert, "But where would we hide it all? "

…but where would we hide it all?…by Millie

The police are onto me. I can't hide. How long will I stay in jail? Why did we do that! UGH! We're so stupid! I can still escape...but where would we hide it all?...I could ditch them? I could make it look like it was their fault? Thank god I WORE gloves. Where are the others now anyway? In jail? Hiding? Looking? Disposing the evidence? Making sure it isn't found? I hope they don't get to me next. I'll make sure they don't! What if the others tell about me? I'll just have to tell on them first.

…but where would we hide it all?…by Maya

Sam and Mark are best friends. Their school have come up with a new system to get their pupils involved in World Kindness Day. Pupils can earn Kindness Cards by being kind to someone, however a teacher has to spot them first. A pupil can exchange them for a prize. The friends aren’t very kind but love getting prizes. They had a plan to earn one Kindness card and photocopy millions. Mark asked, "But where would we hide it all?"
“We’ll leave them in there for a night but we’ll move them into the old, unused storage cupboard.” Sam answered.

The Pirate’s Gold by Clara

“Shush, they’ll hear us!” the pirate whispered to his fellow law-breakers. The cave was empty except for the treasure chests with broken seals. “We need to be quick and quiet, or we will be dead!” another urged. A swift look around showed there was no more gold to be pocketed. “Do we have a safe hiding place?” Peg-Leg Pete twitchingly asked. “Don’t question me! I trust my instincts, and I will find a place to hide,” the leader, Bluebeard, commanded. Later that night, Peg-Leg Pete wrote, “The treasure needs to be safe, but where would we hide it all?

But where would we hide it all? by Lexi

Trembling, I stepped into the gloomy darkness of the cave. Standing next to me was my best friend, although he wasn’t at all scared. He was chatting away by my side. I didn’t reply, after all he was the least of my worries. I was putting my life at risk right then and there. Suddenly, we approached the last corner. Behind that wall was...well we were about to find out! Stood before us were mountains of gold and jewellery. "Let's take some," he said.
"But where would we hide it all?" I replied.
Suddenly the entrance closed. We were stuck.

But where would we hide it all? by Grace B

Tom and his four friends went to watch a football match, Sam said, “I dare you to go and pinch some sweets from the corner shop!”
James said, “I double donkey dare you.”
Tom didn’t want to go and pinch some sweets because it’s wrong. Tom said to the others, “You go first and I will go last into the shop.”
After they all came out of the shop, Tom went in and brought his sweets. As he came out of the shop Sam said, “But where would we hide it all?
James said, "The potting sheds on the allotment."

Ghosts by Jack

It was a spooky Halloween night and every boy and girl were out trick or treating, but then a reporter photographed the dead rising from the ground, they were scared and frightened of them but it wasn’t as it seemed. The not so scary spirits were out shopping and just walked around the gloomy town. Everybody wanted to see the spirits in person, but they couldn’t see them as they could only be seen on photographs. So, everybody took out their phones and cameras and started taking pictures. Finally, somebody saw a ghost in a picture on their phone; which proved to the world that ghosts really do exist.

Ghosts by Estera

In a shopping mall on the 10 of November 2017 there has been serious incident. A normal man wanted to take a photo of the crisp view of the shops and has noticed that there where ghost on the photo.

He has reported this to us and we would also need to inform you that on the same day a lady started to see ghosts. She thought that it was a result of taking strong cold tablets but now she is terrified too. If any of you see, hear or notice something white then report it to us straight away.

I see people having fun and few people are faint and ghostly. A woman looked at the camera with a scary face look, maybe she was laughing at the man, or something. The tall buildings cover other houses behind, I wonder if the other people see these faintly ghost people. I think the humans go there to have a fun time and spend time with their friends, brothers or sisters. I do not think the ghost people are having fun because they do not look that happy; it looks like they miss when they were alive with their kids.

Izzy was just about to settle down to watch her favourite TV program called, ‘A Ghost In My Town’ when her mum shouted, “Can you go to the shops please we’ve ran out of milk.” Izzy got up not wanting to go and headed out. It was strange, the town seemed empty and cold. But when she half closed her eyes she could see people faintly appearing. Her head started to hurt and as she closed her eyes, she could hear her mum, “Izzy , wake up!” As she came round her TV program was on. Was it real what just happened? Izzy wasn’t sure.

Ghosts by Maddie

In the run up to Christmas some strange things were happening in Newcastle. There were people rushing around but there were also ghosts! You might think that ghosts aren't real, but think again. These strange ghouls keep popping up everywhere, it is believed that they appear from a basement on Nithdale Close. Do not worry; they are not dangerous, except for one who is Maggie Balder. If you see Maggie she looks like this: she has a red jacket and a black shirt on, she also has black ripped jeans and red high tops. Remember you can't see her properly!

People have been wondering why ghosts have been appearing around the city of Paris in France. Not many people have been aware of this, but there has been an anonymous legend going through a very unusual family. This legend tells us that one day a prisoner will escape from prison and dig up his father from his grave. This grave is no ordinary grave. It is really powerful. If it opens, it makes all the dead people come out of their coffins and become ghosts
Today the grave has been opened and ghosts are haunting the shopping streets of Paris.

Ghosts by Lexi

Ghosts are everywhere. In your town, at your school and even in your house. So, don’t get tricked because for all you know a ghost can be watching you right now and you wouldn’t even know it. But not all ghosts are good, some have the ability to change time to change you! Never wish to see a ghost or you might just become one. However, if it's your absolute dream, there is one way to see a ghost. At midnight, on the day of a blue moon every twenty-five years, ghosts become visible - but only if you are smart enough to see them...

Ghosts (News Report) by Alexander

This week, a photographer has taken a photo of some shoppers and what seems like some rather strange ghosts joining them. It was last night at 8:00pm. The photographer and the shoppers claim that they did not see the ghosts walking / floating around everyone, only the camera caught them. When the photographer looked over the photo, he was so astonished, he fainted. Police were called in and they looked over the photo on his camera and investigated it. They have not found an answer yet but think it's just a glitch in the camera's database.

The faceless figures strolled through the shopping centre like shadows. A little girl asked her mum, “Why can I see the ground through my feet?” The girl was wearing a nightdress, no shoes or socks, and had a flowery duvet wrapped around her tiny, weak body. Her mother replied, “Do you remember when you were very ill, and you stayed in your bed for a week?” The girl nodded. “You got so cold, your heart stopped. That’s why your feet are transparent. And I was sick from the same thing. We died an hour apart from one another.” They hugged.
